We struggled to get going after a late night packing following arrival in Perth on 14/4/17 (Good Friday), leaving the house at 9am, the journey to Two Rocks took an hour longer than expected because of a replacement bus service on the armadale/thornlie lines put in place due to track work over the Easter long weekend. This meant that we missed connecting trains and busses. We began walking a little before midday, a very late start indeed.
Two Rocks has a nice boat harbour and is named after the two large rocks on the beach.

Eventually, we arrived at a surf spot called “The Spot”
And ate lunch not far away next to a plaque commemorating the sinking of a ship nearby.

until we neared Yanchep:
There was a cafe and a path which made for a much easier walking for a few kms:
Soon we were back on the beach though. People like to drive on the sand it seems:
But it’s not always a good idea!
As the sun began to set, we began to get tired:
It was a relief to arrive at Shore Haven and its cafe:
My companion decided she would catch an uber to our accommodation. I walked on to Eden Beach, and then Jindalee…..
…. and finally on to our accommodation at Mindarie.
